Referring to the double growth of foreign investment in South Khorasan in the past two years, the President said, "This is proof that, as the Supreme Leader said, the Iranian nation will definitely conquer the peaks and in the battle of wills, will impose its will on the enemy for progress and wisdom in all fields".
Speaking on Wednesday evening in a meeting with the elites of South Khorasan during his trip to the province, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi thanked all the pilgrims and those involved in the Arba'een Procession ceremony, including the Iraqi government and nation, who, with their praiseworthy hosting, made a huge, memorable and civilising event.
Referring to the words of one of the speakers in this meeting about the importance of Jihad, the President said, "Today, the enemy seeks to take control of the minds of the youth in the country in a combined and persuasive war and shape them the way they want, and we should confront the enemy's conspiracy by creating hope in the society".
Dr Raisi also explained the performance and achievements of the Popular Administration in the past period of its activity and stated, "Increasing the cooperation of ministries and executive bodies with knowledge-based companies, changing the way of implementing and awarding scholarships and linking them with industry and production, pursuing the issue of housing and livelihood of professors as well as married dormitories as government's achievements in the last two years.
Dr Raisi also stated about the government's plans and actions regarding South Khorasan's issues and problems, adding, "The beginning of the railway construction operation of the province as an old wish of the people of South Khorasan, paying attention to the issue of mining economy and strengthening the presence of the private sector in this sector, trying to solve the problems and obstacles of expanding border trade relations and exchanges with Afghanistan and supporting the private sector for the development of the air transportation fleet of the province are also among the measures and plans of the government to accelerate the development of South Khorasan".
In response to the importance of addressing the issue of women and family in the society, the President also noted, "First of all, the important issue is that when mentioning the issue of women and the family it does not suffice to think about harms and problems, because there are a variety of issues that solves social problems and harms".
Dr Raisi added, "One of the most effective ways to prevent social harm is to pay attention to the issue of women and family, especially family formation".
The President pointed to the government's effort to establish a development and progress fund in the provinces, as well as the effort to complete half-finished projects, and said, "This government is seriously sensitive to the delay in the payment of workers' salaries, and I have emphasised many times that especially companies under the supervision of government agencies and even the companies related and collaborating with the government agencies have no right to delay the payment of their workers' salaries for even one day under the pretext of lack of credit and resources".
Referring to his decision to attend Birjand University, Dr Raisi added, "In this government, following the conduct of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, we are trying to have a broad relationship with the university and academics".
The President pointed out the belief of the Popular Administration to promote and increase the role of the people in various fields of the country's administration and stated, "The Popular Administration believes that affairs should be left to the people and the government should only guide, support and monitor".
