Stating that today we are faced with a view and approach in the world that does not allow people to reason and think freely, the President noted, "As Ashura has extended throughout history and continues after this, the current of enmity with Ashura and its enlightenment has always flowed throughout history and will continue after this".
Speaking in the passionate gathering of the people of Ferdows city on Wednesday afternoon during his trip to South Khorasan province, at the same time as Imam Hussein's (AS) Arba'een, Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, described Arba'een as the symbol and manifestation of Ashura, which introduces Ashura as a sign and flag, and said, "Imam Hussein (AS) is a role model for all those who think about human beings and the salvation of human beings".
Stating that the blood of Imam Hussein (AS) was shed to remove ignorance from the society, the President added, "Aba Abdullah Al-Hussein (AS) sought to save the society from ignorance so that the people would become people of deliberation and thinking".
Dr Raisi stated, "The expansion of means of communication in today's world should not deceive us in thinking that the Arrogant and domineering are seeking to expand rationality and deliberation and to equip people with correct analysis and diagnosis and to remove ignorance from human societies in order to distinguish friend from enemy; The Arrogant act against any attempt for creating insight in any part of the world and they quickly shut down any media that steps in this direction".
The President clarified, "Although the domination seekers claim to believe in freedom and free information, they do not allow those whose thoughts and ideas are contrary to their own to promote these thoughts freely".

The President added, "The presence of the people of Iran today in the commemoration ceremony of Imam Hussein's Arba'een is a kind of celebration of the Ashura path, but this celebration must be accompanied by analysis, because Ashura is not an event related to the year 61 AH and is a lesson for all ages and generations".
Dr Raisi said, "We are trying to define ourselves among the army of Imam Hussein (AS), but we must know that this approach faces countless difficulties, enemies and seditions".
