Referring to the report of the Minister of Intelligence on the investigation of the issue of poisoning of a number of students in some cities, the President emphasised the need to follow up on this issue and provide accurate and timely information to the relevant institutions to address people's concerns.
Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, in the meeting of the cabinet today, referred to the report of the Minister of Intelligence on the investigation and follow-up of the issue of poisoning of a number of students in some cities, and stated, "The new conspiracy of the enemy to create fear in the hearts of students, our dear children and their parents is a crime and it is an anti-human act".
Emphasising the need to follow up on this issue and provide accurate and timely information to the relevant agencies to address people's concerns, the President said, "This action is another link in the chain of enemy conspiracies, which is aimed at creating inflammation in the society and disturbing the public mind and instilling fear among the children of this land".
In another part of his speech, referring to his recent trip to Bushehr province and the importance of the sea's role in economic development and the country's capacities in this field, Dr Raisi described the country's current income from the sea economy unacceptable.
The President also emphasised the necessity of forming a task force to monitor and coordinate the activities of the institutions in the implementation of policies related to activating the maritime economy under the supervision of the First Vice-President.
Serious efforts to fulfil the government's promises and speeding up the presentation of the 7th Development Plan Law Bill to be sent to the Majlis were among the other emphasis of the President in today's meeting of the Council of Ministers.
