Stating that the Supreme Leader of the Revolution always expected the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution to lead a profound cultural transformation, the President stated, "The Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, in addition to making policies and monitoring the implementation of policies, should play a role as a cultural headquarters".
Speaking at the beginning of the meeting of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution on the occasion of the appointment of the new secretary of the Council, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi described the position of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution as a very important one and carefully describing its missions, saying, "The position and mission of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution is cultural guidance, and this is very important".
The Chief of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution stated that the Supreme Leader of the Revolution always expected the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution to lead a profound cultural transformation, adding, "The Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, in addition to making policies and monitoring the implementation of policies, should play a role as a cultural headquarters".
While thanking the efforts of Dr Ameli, the Former Secretary of the Council, Dr Raisi pointed out the trust of the members of the Council in Hojatoleslam val-Mosleimin Abdolhossein Khosropanah and the approval of the Supreme Leader, as well as valuable scientific and practical records and experiences of the new member and Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, and stated, "It is hoped that Mr Khosropanah can take a real step in creating cultural transformation by moving towards the realisation of the orders of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution with the cooperation of other real and legal members of the Council".
After the President's speech, the members voted on the appointment of Hojatoleslam val-Mosleimin Abdolhossein Khosropanah as the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, and he was appointed as the head of the council's secretariat for a period of 4 years.
