In a meeting attended by the Minister of Science, Research and Technology and a group of Sharif University managers, the President reviewed the dimensions of the current week's incidents at Sharif University.
In this meeting, which was held in the President's office on Thursday, the managers of Sharif University presented a report on the incidents that happened in this university.
Referring to the sanctity of the university and the environment of science and idealism, the President stated, "No one is allowed to break the sanctity of this sacred space, and everyone from managers to professors and students are obliged to work to preserve the sanctity of this environment".
Pointing out that Sharif University is one of the symbols and drivers of science and progress in the country, Ayatollah Raisi said, "The scientific and moral sanctity and reputation of the elite society of this university should not be allowed to be tarnished by some behaviour imposed from outside the university".
"We are sure that Sharif University will not allow ill-wishers and hypocrites to spoil the honour of this university and Sharif will definitely remain honourable," he said.
The President added, "America, Hypocrites and other enemies of the country tried to pursue their anti-Iranian and anti-revolutionary goals within Sharif University, but the knowledge of the professors and noble students of this university prevents these efforts from being attributed to Sharif University".
The Chairman of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution described the university environment as the best environment for exchanging opinions, discussions and debates about the important issues of the society and the priority issues of the country, and urged the managers of the universities, professors and students to take responsibility and stop the efforts of some currents that are aimed at diverting this environment into an environment to neutralise the university".
The President said in this meeting, "I believe that the mechanisms inside the university are sufficient to ensure the order and security of the university and everyone should adhere to the privacy of the university".
At the end of this meeting, according to the reports presented regarding the recent events, the President ordered the responsible institutions to cooperate with the Minister of Science, Research and Technology to follow up on the issue and take the necessary measures to remove the obstacles and facilitate the educational and research activities of this university.
