At the special meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus that was held on Sunday night, chaired by President Ayatollah Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, the Ministry of Health and Medical Education presented a report on the latest spread of the new OMICRON variant in the country and measures taken to prevent the spread of the virus.
In this report, the Ministry of Health emphasised that people who have received the first dose of their vaccine should receive the second dose immediately, and all citizens from whose second dose at least three months has passed should go to the vaccination centres to receive the third dose.
Also in this meeting, it was decided that from Monday, the vaccination centres will resume their activities as in previous months in order to facilitate the process of receiving the vaccine.
At its extraordinary meeting, the National Task Force Against Coronavirus stressed the need to intensify social care and adhere to health protocols, especially wearing masks at family parties and in public places, given the high speed of OMICRON variant spread.
