Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi sent a message of condolences over the passing of Allameh AbdulAmir Qabalan, writing, "Allameh Qabalan's services to Islam and Shiism, the unity of Muslims and the unity of the Lebanese people, and his unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the liberation of Holy Quds are an important part of his bright and glorious record".
Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi’s message is as follows:
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
We belong to Allah and indeed to Him we shall return (Holy Quran)
The passing of the late Allameh AbdulAmir Qabalan caused deep grief and sorrow.
He was the true follower of the blessed path of Imam Musa Sadr in the leadership and presidency of the Supreme Assembly of the Lebanese Shiites and one of the important defenders of the Islamic resistance of the Lebanese and Palestinian nations. Allameh Qabalan's services to Islam and Shiism, the unity of Muslims and the unity of the Lebanese people, and his unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the liberation of Holy Quds are an important part of his bright and glorious record.
I hereby offer my condolences to his respectful family, the government, people and Islamic Resistance of Lebanon, especially Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and Mr Nabih Berri and wish them patience and health.
