The Committee of Monitoring JCPOA’s Implementation convened on Wednesday, chaired by Dr Rouhani.
At the session, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs briefed the committee on the U.S Congress’ anti-Iran decision to extend the Iran Sanctions Act (ISA). The ministry also reported on diplomatic measures and political negotiations made with other countries in protest against U.S’ action.
Furthermore, the Atomic Energy Organization presented a report on the latest negotiations and agreements made with P5+1 on technical issues, including providing the required yellow cake and renovation of Arak nuclear plant.
The members of the committee described the implementation of the act as a clear violation of the JCPOA and reviewed and approved suggestion for reacting to the U.S’ actions, based on possible future scenarios.
Based on the decisions made, the U.S’ government’s actions will be monitored closely and respective reaction will be implemented.
The committee will convene next week to discuss further decision.
