The government's approach in foreign policy is to have constructive interaction with the world, Dr.Rouhani said in a Tuesday meeting of senior Iranian officials with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
The Iranian president, however, noted that his government, in its interaction with the world, will stick to the red lines, which include "preserving (the country's) independence, dignity, and national pride".
He further touched upon the ongoing nuclear talks with six world powers and said that resolving the dispute while preserving the country's nuclear rights, and trying to meet the country's needs are the two top priorities of his government.
Dr.Rouhani also referred to the anti-Iran sanctions and reiterated that they would never succeed.
"The Iranian nation is well capable of settling its social, economic, political, and cultural issues even under sanctions," he added.
