The President described the report of Dr Saeed Namaki, Minister of Health and Medical Education, about the change in the spread of coronavirus in a number of cities from "alert" and "red" to "yellow" or "white" promising and emphasised that this report shows the very important role of the people in fighting coronavirus due to following the instructions and taking their warnings seriously.
Dr Hassan Rouhani stated, "Undoubtedly, it is not possible to fight coronavirus simply by designing and determining health protocols and monitoring by the responsible agencies, and the effectiveness of this combat depends on comprehensive, intelligent and accurate monitoring and care both from the relevant departments and from the people themselves”.
The President also express regret over the persistence of the red status in some parts and cities of the country or the possibility of turning into red status in some other cities, saying that people, especially in these cities, should follow medical instructions with more intensity and sensitivity.
Dr Rouhani stated that the officials of the provincial task forces for fighting coronavirus are obliged to implement and monitor the instructions carefully and it is necessary to immediately identify the causes of growth in the spread of coronavirus in their provinces so that smart restrictions can be implemented.
The President added, "It is still necessary for people to refrain from attending meetings, gatherings, weddings and mourning ceremonies and indoor places, and to use masks that have shown their effectiveness”.
Addressing the people, Dr Rouhani also said that the health protocols put forward by the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus are not just medical advice and should be considered as mandatory medical regulations so that we can control the disease.
