Stressing that the two countries' health ministries should work closer with each other, he continued, "Iran is ready to quickly implement joint health protocol between the two countries in fighting the virus, laying the ground for continuation of cooperation and trade, as well as travel between Iran and Turkey".

He also expressed hope that the joint commission of cooperation of Iran and Turkey will be held on the agreed date.

On the importance of resolving the Idlib issue, Dr Rouhani said, "The Idlib issue, with regard to the accumulation of dangerous terrorists and the importance of saving the lives of innocent people living in the area, is very complicated; the lives of people must be saved and terrorists must be eradicated".

He went on to emphasise the tripartite cooperation of Iran, Turkey and Russia for resolving the Syrian crisis within the framework of the Astana Process, saying, "Tripartite cooperation at different levels is very important, and as said before, Iran is ready to host the next meeting of the summit".

President Rouhani also described the Astana Process a great achievement for the region's security, saying, "There is no doubt that the escalation of tensions will not be beneficial to anyone in the region and we should resolve the issues through dialogue and not let the Astana Process be undermined".

Proposing the holding of tripartite summit of Iran, Turkey and Syria, he said, "With regard to our agreement on principles like preserving the territorial integrity of Syria, eradicating terrorists, saving innocent people's lives and swift settlement of the Idlib issue, we can resolve the disagreements in such a summit".

At the same telephone call, President of Turkey voiced his solidarity with the Iranian nation and sympathy with the families of those who lost their loved ones because of coronavirus, saying, "Turkey is ready for any kind of cooperation with Iran in fighting coronavirus".

Stressing the effective role of Iran in Syria's developments, Erdogan said, "Political dialogue is the only solution to the Syrian issue".

Stressing continuation of tripartite dialogue within the framework of Astana Process, "These dialogues have had good results and should continue until we reach sustainable peace".
