President in a meeting with new Albania’s non-resident ambassador to Tehran:

Developing ties with the Balkans, including Albania very important to Iran

“Developing ties with countries located in the Balkans, including Albania is of chief importance to us and Iran’s friendly and fruitful relations with countries in this region is beneficial to both regions’ nations,” said President Rouhani in a meeting with new Albania’s non-resident ambassador to Tehran.

In the meeting that was held on Monday, Dr Rouhani added: “The Islamic Republic of Iran is willing to develop and deepen ties with Albania in economic, cultural, tourism and scientific fields”.

He also referred to opportunities and capacities in business and trade between the two countries and said that both countries should introduce these capacities to their investors and private and public sectors.

Dr Rouhani also stated that the two countries should consult and cooperate in issues regarding peace and stability in the region and the world.

At the same meeting, the new Albania’s non-resident Ambassador to Tehran, Genti Gazheli presented his credentials to President Rouhani and said that developing ties with Tehran in all fields is very important and he will do his utmost in this regard.
