President due in Malaysia, Bangkok for ACD Summit

President Rouhani will head for Malaysia on Friday after an official visit to Vietnam in the course of his Southeast Asia tour.

“The President will meet with high-ranking Malaysian officials in Kuala Lumpur regarding bilateral relations including economic, industrial and technological fields,” said President’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Communication and Information Parviz Esmaeili.

He also said that the President will attend the meeting of high-ranking delegations of Iran and Malaysia, as well as Malaysian intellectuals.

“As the final phase of his Southeast Asia visit, Dr Rouhani will head for Thai capital, Bangkok to attend the second Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) summit,” Esmaeili continued.

He went on saying: “Dr Rouhani will address the 34-member ACD summit and voice Iran’s stances. He will also meet with high-ranking officials of a number of countries”.

Esmaeili further noted that President Rouhani is accompanied by representatives of Iran’s private sector.

The summit, which is aimed at growth and development in Asia, will be held in Bangkok on October 8-10.
