Iran-Turkey ties expanding in various fields

President Hassan Rouhani said on Tuesday that Iran-Turkey relations are expanding in all spheres.

Speaking to the Speaker of Grand National Assembly of Turkey Cemil Çicek on the sidelines of the 9th conference of Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, President Rouhani said good agreements were reached during the recent visit of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Teyyip Erdogan to Tehran and hoped that the accords will help bolster bilateral relations.
The Turkish top parliamentarian said, in turn, that expansion of Tehran-Ankara relations will have positive impacts on the world of Islam.
ˈWe are proud of meeting His Excellency in Turkey, ˈ he said.
He went on to say ˈImportant decisions were made during the visit of Turkish Prime Minister to Iran and we are determined to implement them as soon as possible.ˈ
ˈWe face a number of problems in the world of Islam and both Iran and Turkey, that play a key role in the region, should try to solve them.ˈ
He said that if Muslims do not try to solve problems in the world of Islam, others will assume such a role.
