In the meeting of the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Board held on Tuesday night under the chairmanship of Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare presented a report on the process of handling the objections of those whose subsidies were cut during the implementation of the subsidy reform plan.
After listening to this report, the president emphasised, "Careful investigations should be done with a positive view and trust in self-declarations and separation between commercial and personal accounts so that the rights of the nation are fully taken into account and no one's rights are violated".
Dr Raisi stated, "Subsidies of those whose qualifications have been confirmed in the investigations to receive subsidies should be paid quickly and without interruption".
The president said, "Both paying subsidies to rich and wealthy people and stopping payments to the needy are unjust and should be done with full efficiency in this field".
Dr Raisi also emphasised that the Ministry of Cooperatives should provide the necessary conditions and arrangements for separation of family members, review of applications and notification of results to applicants in accordance with the established schedules and in the shortest possible time.
