Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Oman Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said on Monday and said, "Iran-Oman relations are not limited to their neighbourhood relations, but deep religious and belief interests and common grounds of the two nations have been linked for centuries".
Pointing out that Tehran-Muscat relations have always been good and constructive relations throughout history, the President said, "Although we are witnessing good relations between the two countries, this level of relations is not enough".
Dr Raisi stressed the need to revive the various neglected capacities between Iran and Oman, noting, "The amount of trade, transportation and economic cooperation between Tehran and Muscat, especially in the field of energy and transit of goods, can certainly increase".
Referring to Iran's progress in various fields of industry and medicine, Ayatollah Raisi said, "Iran can be a good choice for the people of Oman in the field of health and medicine. Despite US threats and sanctions, the Islamic Republic of Iran has made great achievements in areas such as the peaceful nuclear, medical, and defence industries".
The President added, "In addition to the use of foreign vaccines against Corona, 6 Iranian companies have produced a vaccine against Corona, of which 4 companies have used all Iranian knowledge, and today these vaccines are being exported".
Ayatollah Raisi noted, "The Westerners and the Americans wanted to stop Iran's progress by imposing sanctions, but everyone saw that the Americans themselves acknowledged the disgraceful failure of the policy of maximum pressure".
"Nuclear weapons have absolutely no place in Iran's doctrine, but we use peaceful nuclear knowledge for agriculture, medicine and the petrochemical industry," he said.
In this meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister of Oman Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said referred to the historical and brotherly relations between the two nations of Iran and Oman, and said, "The development of relations between the two countries is the result of mutual understanding between the high-ranking officials of Iran and Oman".
"Iran-Oman relations will not be limited to economic and trade relations and will include major areas such as political interactions and cooperation," said Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Oman added, "Iran is an ancient and historical country. Today we are talking about the Iranian carpet in our meeting. Iran is known all over the world with its products".
"You work tirelessly like young people," said Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, referring to the President's busy schedule during his visit to Oman.
He added, "Your trip to Oman will remain in our hearts. Oman has always defended Iran's position on the international stage like the Iranians".
