The President said that the visit to Tajikistan had different dimensions, adding, "One of the dimensions of the visit was the implementation of the government's foreign policy in the field of economic diplomacy and neighbourhood policy, which will bring about a new chapter in relations with Tajikistan."

Upon arrival from a three-day visit to Tajikistan on Saturday evening, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi described the achievements of the visit, "Iran's permanent membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, which took place at the Tajikistan summit, was a diplomatic success".

The President added, "The presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran as the main member of the SCO creates a strong economic connection for the people of our country, which means connecting Iran to the economic infrastructure of Asia and the sustainable resources resulting from it".

Ayatollah Raisi stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant ministries should provide the necessary conditions to take advantage of this new opportunity as soon as possible, saying, "Connecting to the Asian economic infrastructure is a valuable opportunity for the Islamic Republic of Iran".

Dr Raisi described another achievement of his visit to Tajikistan as holding bilateral meetings with regional leaders, saying, "In our official meeting with the President and officials of Tajikistan, we agreed to start a new chapter in the economic, political and cultural relations between the two countries".

The President continued, "We also agreed with the President of Turkmenistan to mark a new chapter in the field of economic, cultural and political relations between the two countries".

Ayatollah Raisi described attending a security meeting on Afghanistan on the side-lines of the Shanghai Summit as another achievement of the visit, noting, "In this summit, the stances of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding Afghanistan were explained and a consensus was reached regarding these stances".

The President added, "With the meetings held with the leaders of the countries in the region, the presidents of these countries also concluded that a consensus should be reached on the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Afghanistan and with the same level of sensitivity that Iran has towards Afghanistan".

"They agreed that the formation of an inclusive government with the participation of all groups in the country that can represent all the good and dear people of Afghanistan should be pursued," he said.

Dr Raisi expressed hope that the achievements of this visit, which was in line with the implementation of the foreign policy of the 13th government, could take effective practical steps for the country's economic growth, and entrepreneurs, investors and the people could take advantage of this opportunity and its benefits".
