On the importance of resolving the Idlib issue, Dr Rouhani said, "The Idlib issue, with regard to the accumulation of dangerous terrorists and the importance of saving the lives of innocent people living in the area, is very complicated; the lives of people must be saved and terrorists must be eradicated".

He went on to emphasise the tripartite cooperation of Iran, Turkey and Russia for resolving the Syrian crisis within the framework of the Astana Process, saying, "Tripartite cooperation at different levels is very important, and as said before, Iran is ready to host the next meeting of the summit".

At the same telephone call, President of Turkey voiced his solidarity with the Iranian nation and sympathy with the families of those who lost their loved ones because of coronavirus, saying, "Turkey is ready for any kind of cooperation with Iran in fighting coronavirus".

Stressing the effective role of Iran in Syria's developments, Erdogan said, "Political dialogue is the only solution to the Syrian issue".
