Cabinet approves bill on changing currency from rial to toman/ Four zeros to be removed from currency

The Council of Ministers convened on Wednesday in a session that was chaired by President Hassan Rouhani and approved the bill on changing Iran’s currency from rial to toman.

It was also decided to remove four zeros from the currency.

The decision was made as proposed by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), to facilitate transactions and make the country’s official currency concordant with the culture and conventions in the society.
