President in a phone call with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party Leader:

Further deepening of Tehran-Islamabad ties in all fields essential/Iran, Pakistan each other’s strategic depth/We should witness considerable progress in Tehran-Islamabad economic relations

President described further deepening of Tehran-Islamabad relations in all fields of mutual interest, including in economy, essential and said: “Relations between the two nations and governments of Iran and Pakistan are beyond relations between two neighbours and the two countries in fact are each other’s strategic depth”.

Speaking with the Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi on Wednesday by the phone, President Hassan Rouhani congratulated the party’s victory in parliamentary elections and said: “I hope that in the new era, we witness closer relations between the two friend countries”.

He also referred to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party Leader’s remarks on deepening economic relations between Iran and Pakistan, saying: “We should witness a considerable progress in economic and business relations between the two countries”.

Dr Rouhani also invited Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi to attend the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) summit in Tehran.

At the same phone call, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party Leader also said: “We want a considerable development of relations between the two countries in all fields, especially in trade”.

He also said: “I assure you that relations between the two countries will further deepen and develop and Pakistan attaches great weight to cementing its relations with Iran”.

He also said that he would definitely attend ACD summit in Tehran.
