Cabinet agrees on forming national task force for water shortage adaptation/Cabinet compares 1397 budget ratified by Majlis with gov't bill/Iran, S. Korea to sign pact on social welfare

The Council of Ministers convened on Sunday in a regular weekly cabinet session chaired by President Rouhani and agreed on formation of a national task force for adapting with water shortage to deal with the problems it causes in various parts of the country.

The task force will be formed with under the Minister of Energy, with heads of Plan and Budget Organisation (PBO) and Environment Protection Organisation, ministers of 'Agriculture Jihad', 'Interior', 'Industry, Mines and Trade' as its members.

The cabinet also discussed and compared the 1397 budget act ratified by the Islamic Consultative Assembly (parliament) with the bill that the government forwarded to the legislative body.

The government also authorized the Ministry of Labour, Cooperatives and Social Welfare to negotiate and temporarily sign an agreement between the governments of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Korea in the field of social welfare.

Another issue that was discussed and agreed on was the membership of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran in a number of international organisations and institutes such as International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis.
