Cabinet agrees with allocating loans for repairing flood damages in Gilan/Iran to ink tax pacts with Sweden, Lithuania, Japan/Road minister gives initial report on the causes of Tehran-Yasuj plane crash

The Council of Ministers convened on Sunday in a session that was chaired by President Rouhani and allocated $933k for reconstructing rural houses and infrastructural equipment in Gilan province in northern Iran, which has been hit by recent floods.

During the session, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, who was tasked with forming a commission of inquiry to manage and investigate the plane crash on the route from Tehran to Yasuj and make necessary coordination for emergency and relief operations, gave a preliminary report on the causes of the incident.

The cabinet also issued the permit for striking a contract for cooperation in executing the Tabriz-Andisheh-Sahand freeway.

In the meeting, the Council of Ministers also authorised the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance to negotiate and temporarily sign an agreement with Sweden, Lithuania and Japan aimed at refraining from double taxation and preventing tax evasion.
