Speaking at the regular weekly session of the cabinet on Wednesday, President Hassan Rouhani said: "In this demonstration, we must mark another point in history and show our unity, determination and integration, sending the message to the enemies of our Islamic Iran that the path of Imam Khomeini (RA) will continue".

"We are very happy that at the 39th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the people of our Islamic Iran are more powerful and livelier than ever on the path of the causes and goals of the Revolution," continued the president.

He also went on to say: "Every year in such a day, when people voice their support of the late Imam Khomeini (RA), the Supreme Leader, the system and the ideals of their revolution in millions, they show that they refuse the enemies of the revolution".

Stating that people's presence at the demonstrations indicates that people's relationship with the government and the values of the revolution is still close and deep, he said: "In recent months, the enemy had plotted conspiracies against the Islamic Republic of Iran, but the great Iranian nation foiled it".

"In the past months, we have been able to shatter the dangerous terrorists that had infiltrated the region, being supported by the arrogant powers, and this is a great victory," Dr Rouhani continued, saying that many great countries around the world said "NO" to the plots that the US administration had created against the Iranian nation and the foreign policy of our country.

"With all its political and economic power and authority, the US administration attempted to undermine the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), but they failed each time," the President added.

He also went on to say: "The young generation must show its determination for economic growth and employment in the country with its presence in the demonstrations".
