Visiting the tents and shelters in which the quake-hit people are residing, Dr Hassan Rouhani talked with the people in a cordial atmosphere and heard their demands.

“These days are the anniversary of a revolution that you led to victory and have guarded it for the last 40 years,” the President said.

He also went on to say: “The people of this village are very decent and patient like the entire Iranian people and although you are suffering, you are still friendly as much”.

Stressing that the main demand of the people in the area is construction of permanent housing, he said: “It is essential that we follow the reconstruction and reinforcement process of rural houses more seriously”.

“I deem it necessary to appreciate all those in various organs and institutions, including EMS, infirmaries, the Red Crescent Society and other related organs who have rushed to help the people,” added Rouhani.

He continued: “The head of Islamic Revolution Housing Foundation promised us that the foundation will pursue the rebuilding process more quickly”.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also went on to say: “All those who have lost their jobs in the aftermath of the earthquake or those who have left their houses and are now tenants, will also be eligible for the help and their losses will be compensated as much as it is possible”.
