President in a phone call with Iranian labour minister in China;

Stressing access to Iranian tanker crew/Emphasising continuous, direct reports to president/ Continuing negotiations, foreign ministry support for getting needed help from neighbouring countries

President Rouhani had a phone conversation with the Minister of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare, who is now in China to facilitate saving Iranian oil tanker's crew, and stressed: "All required measures and facilities must be mobilised to find out about the tanker's crew and access them as soon as possible".

Speaking with Dr Ali Rabiei on Saturday, who is now in China representing the President to find out about the status of the Iranian oil tanker and its crew, Dr Hassan Rouhani said: "It is essential that you continue negotiations, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs support the process of getting all the help needed to access and become informed of the crew with the help of neighbouring countries and also facilitate cooperation of the Chinese government".

He also tasked the labour minister to report continuously and directly to him and make sure that the Iranian and Chinese forces, as well as relief forces enter the tanker as soon as possible.

The head of the special committee for following up the status of the tanker also briefed Dr Rouhani on the meeting of the emergency committee in Shanghai, China and said that he had asked the Chinese officials to do their utmost for saving Iranian sailors.

Earlier last week, President Rouhani was briefed on the latest status of the workers of the Iranian oil tanker that had and accident in Chinese waters and ordered utilising all national and regional capabilities to address the status of the crew of the tanker.

Dr Hassan Rouhani had a meeting with Ministers of Petroleum, Foreign Affairs and Roads and Urban Development, as well as related authorities on Tuesday, and after hearing the reports, emphasised that the most important issue was the status of the personnel of the tanker and their families.
