President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Saturday appreciated cooperation of the Iranian people with the government to materialize the target-based subsidy plan.

He made the remarks while addressing a ceremony marking the National Statistics and Planning Day. <br /><br />

The President reiterated that without a target-based program, collecting statistics would be vain. <br /><br />
<br /><br />
He underlined the importance of an Islamic-Iranian planning based on Iran’s characteristics. <br /><br />
<br /><br />
President Ahmadinejad further underscored the need for constructing the Islamic Republic through appropriate planning.<br /><br />
