He made the remarks in the celebrations of the Ten-Day-Dawn (January 31-February 10) marking the 34th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran. Several Iranians residing in Cairo and Muslims from other nationalities attended the ceremony.

Many prominent Egyptian politicians, including the former Egyptian foreign minister and Arab League head Amr Moussa, attended the ceremony.

“Days of oppression by oppressors, including the arrogant powers and Zionist regime are numbered. Iranians and Egyptians share similar responsibility in their support for the oppressed in the world,' the president said.

President invited Egyptian elites to visit Tehran.

Egyptian cultural and political elites who attended the ceremony praised Iran’s bold political stance in the international scene and in particular its support for the Palestinian nation against the occupying force of Zionist regime.

President, who was in Cairo to attend the OIC summit, has expressed Iran's complete readiness to bolster cooperation with Egypt in all sectors.
