Referring to Imam Ali’s (AS) will, he said: “Imam Ali (AS) says that jihad in God’s way must be accompanied by devoting one’s life, as well as belongings and speaking, therefore, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, as well as inviting people to the right path and, in general, jihad are very important”.

The holy month of Ramadan is the month of worshipping and forgiveness, said Rouhani adding: “In the holy Quran, God advises the Prophet to tell His servants that He forgives them of all their sins”.

“Some thought that after the end of the imposed war, the door of martyrdom was closed, whereas this door is open, the only thing that one should do is to be ready for self-sacrifice and devotion,” he continued.

Dr Rouhani continued: “Although martyrs have different levels before God, all martyrs are great national, dignity, independence, and religious assets”.

The great families of martyrs have high places before God, stressed Rouhani adding that if authorities do something for them, it is a small drop compared to the great thing the great families of martyrs and war veterans have done.

“One who endures hardships of carrying out their duties and is satisfied with what God has bestowed them, has invaluable reward, so invaluable that nothing can count,” added the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
