President's message is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Your Excellency Mr Nawaz Sharif,

The Honourable Prime Minister of Pakistan

Hello and peace be upon you and kindness and blessings of Allah

As you know, on Wednesday, 26 April, 2017 at 18:30 a group of armed miscreants crossed the border from Pakistan to Iranian soil near Mirjaveh county and started a fight with the border guards of the Islamic Republic of Iran, unfortunately killing 10.

Mr Prime Minister;

The Islamic Republic of Iran always considers stability, security, and growth in Pakistan on the agenda of relations with the friend and neighbouring country of Pakistan and is very sorry about armed miscreants and rented terrorists' aggression from the Pakistani soil. The borders of the two countries has been secure frontiers throughout the history and the habitants of the border areas, who have close ethnic and kinship relationships, have always lived peacefully. The Iranian soil has never been used against any neighbouring country, including Pakistan but unfortunately, not acting and dealing with the issues properly has claimed lives of the border guards of the Islamic Republic of Iran and sometimes innocent people.

It has been several times that such aggressions are being carried out by the miscreants and terrorist groups from the Pakistani soil against the Islamic Republic of Iran and despite the promises by the officials of that country, we are still witnessing such bitter incidents.

Unfortunately, today we are witnessing that come countries are trying to undermine the unity of the Islamic world through their proxy wars and are attempting to support terrorist acts to promote violence, insecurity, poverty and backwardness instead of growth and development as well as dignity and felicity of the people of the region. I hereby express my deepest concern and the most profound sorrow about the reoccurrence of such terrorist aggressions to the soil of the Islamic Republic of Iran from the Pakistani soil, expecting that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack be brought to justice to maintain the good and brotherly relations between the two countries.

I pray to the Almighty for your Excellency’s health and success, as well as the Pakistani nation’s prosperity and felicity.

Hassan Rouhani

President of the Islamic Republic of Iran
