Organs' performance in managing dust issue reported to president/Council stresses coordinated work on managing water resources, restoring wetlands
The Supreme Council of Environment convened on Tuesday at a session chaired by President Rouhani and discussed issues regarding environment.
During the session, the related organs gave a report to President Rouhani on their performance in managing the dust issue, as well as long-term, mid-term and short-term plans in this regard to deal with dust and air pollution, especially in Khuzestan and southern provinces.
The council also put emphasis on coordinated and simultaneous plans for managing water resources, amending crop patterns and restoring wetlands.
Foreign Minister Dr Zarif also reported on the ministry's performance and measures taken in bilateral, regional and international cooperation in managing the dust problem, as well as air pollution.
