President in a meeting with Indonesian President’s special envoy:

Tehran welcomes deepening ties with Jakarta/Iranian companies ready to export technical, engineering services to Indonesia in energy, transportation/Iran welcomes Indonesian investors

President Rouhani met with the special envoy of the President of Indonesia and said that Tehran welcomed deepening ties with Jakarta in political, economic, cultural and scientific fields.

At the meeting that was held on Monday in Tehran, President Rouhani stressed that Tehran-Jakarta agreements should be implemented quickly for further deepening of ties, adding: “Iranian companies are ready to export technical and engineering services, including completing refineries in Indonesia, power and roads”.

He also welcomed Indonesia’s willingness to invest in energy fields in Iran, as well as increasing oil and gas imports, saying: “The level of Iran-Indonesia relations, especially in economy, should be further developed with regard to potentials and capabilities of both countries”.

At the same meeting, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of Indonesia and the special envoy of the President of Indonesia, Darmin Nasution said that his country was determined to develop ties with Tehran in all fields, especially in economy”.
