President Rouhani stressed that "Khuzestan people's incomparable patience and resistance is famous in the history of our nation and the government will stand by them until all problems are fully resolved".

He also issued special orders to the First Vice-President, Minister of Interior and the Governor General of Khuzestan.

Dr Rouhani underscored: "In recent weeks, our dear Khuzestan has not had good conditions and our dear people have suffered from intensified dust problem, power cut and failure of water network and telephone communications, especially in the strong city of Ahwaz".

"In the meantime, the President and all his colleagues in the cabinet have been standing by you to resolve the issues," President continued.

"Khuzestan people's incomparable patience and resistance is famous in the history of our nation, therefore it is not appropriate that these patient people suffer such problems in any kind of incident, especially disasters," Dr Rouhani added.

He continued: "such incidents must be predicted technically and management measures in the shortest time possible to be managed in a way that they inflict the least harms".

"Although the phenomenon of dust requires extensive extraterritorial measures and confronting it should have been organised and taken action years ago, therefore, failure of the electrical distribution network caused frequent and long power cuts in Ahwaz, followed by dysfunction of water distribution network and communications," he added.

Referring to the extraordinary meeting held to address the issue, President Rouhani continued: "As soon as these failures occurred, the government sent the respective ministers to the province, mobilising all its resources and attempted to do whatever it can to decrease the damages to manage the crisis. I have also demanded that the honourable First Vice-President to coordinate all organs for a result to be achieved as soon as possible".

Sympathising with all those have suffered from the disasters and appreciating people's patience in the disagreeable situation, Dr Rouhani also said: "I assure the great people of Khuzestan that the government is serious in employing all its resources in getting to the roots of the dust problem and environmental issues, considering it a priority for itself".

At the end of the meeting, President Rouhani issued special orders to the First Vice-President, interior minister, and the Governor General of the province.
