At the meeting with the head of the judicial branch, Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani, and the head of the legislative branch, Dr Ali Larijani, President Rouhani called on the people of Iran to attend 22nd Bahman demonstration.

“The people of the Islamic Iran will display their unbreakable connection with the revolution, the Late Imam [Khomeini], and the Supreme Leader in this year’s 22nd Bahman demonstration,” added Dr Rouhani.

He added: “The Iranian nation consider dignity as the right path to independence, and national sovereignty dependent on the Islamic revolution; they display this every year by attending the 22nd Bahman demonstration in large numbers”.

“At the meeting of the heads of the three branches, we discussed major issues of our country, including economic issues and the steps the executive branch has taken in recent months with the support of the legislative and judicial branches,” the President continued.

He added: “In the last 10 months, 20,000 small and medium enterprises have been activated and this indicates a move forward in the path of economic prosperity of the country”.

Stating that the way for accelerated economic move should be paved, he said: “It is essential that we prepare a better groundwork for business activities and investment and foreign and domestic investors to increase welfare in the society”.

“People should feel that the system and all branches support investment and economic activities in the country,” said the President, adding: “Currently, we have passed a period of depression, entering an era of economic prosperity and growth and this trend should be applied in other sectors”.

On regional issues discussed, he said: “In this meeting, we discussed and reviewed issues related to Iraq and Syria and also the latest message of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council for negotiating and settling issues suggested by the foreign minister of Kuwait”.

“We are also witnessing verbal threats in the international stage but our people are familiar with these kinds of threats and have responded to them by resistance, unity and integrity and will continue to do so,” he added.

He also said that the heads of the three branches had decided to decrease the interval between their meetings.
