“But some western countries have made a big mistake in analysing the situation and still think that they can use terrorism as a tool to advance their goals in the region,” continued the President.

He added: “Today, terrorism and extremism are two big problems for the whole world”.

Stressing cooperation between all countries to root out terrorism, he said: “We have no way other than moderation in views, respecting geographical borders and other countries’ independence, and cooperation by all to establish peace and stability in the region and the world”.

At the same meeting, President of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegović said: “Sarajevo is determined to promote political, economic and banking ties with Tehran”.

“Unfortunately because of the sanctions, the level of relations between the two countries decreased in the past years but today, those circumstances are behind us and we are ready to further cement ties with Iran,” he said.

The President of Bosnia and Herzegovina added: “Regarding our country’s agreement with the European Union, we can be a gate for Iran to help it access European markets and, conversely, Iran can be our gate to access Asian markets”.
