President in a meeting with Senegalese President:

Developing ties with African countries important for Iran/Spread of disputes, using terrorist groups as means a big conspiracy against Muslims

President Rouhani met with the President of Senegal Macky Sall and said that Iran and Senegal have good and friendly relations with each other and the two countries should use post-JCPOA capacities and opportunities to the benefit of common interests and the Muslim World.

In this meeting that happened on Friday on the sidelines of the OIC Summit in Turkey, Dr Rouhani said: “Developing ties in all fields of mutual interest with African countries is very important for the Islamic Republic of Iran”.

“We are ready to develop ties in various economic, scientific, cultural, medical and health fields with Senegal” continued Rouhani.

He also stressed Tehran-Dakar cooperation and consultation in international issues, including the security of the region and North Africa.

“Today the enemies of Islam are after a big conspiracy to spread discord and division in the Muslim World and also use the terrorist groups as means” continued Rouhani.

He added: “The Islamic Republic of Iran has always helped the countries that have reached out for help in fighting terrorism”.

“We should seriously and collectively work with each other to defeat terrorists” added President Rouhani.

In this meeting, President Macky Sall also expressed his country’s willingness to develop ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran an all fields of mutual interest.
