President before leaving on his European trip;

Tehran’s policy to develop ties with EU countries/Post-JCPOA atmosphere be used for growth, development, job creation/Mid-, long-term roadmap of Tehran's cooperation with Italy, France ready

One of Tehran’s policies is to develop relations with European Union countries and the trip to Italy and France is aimed at growth and development, as well as job creation for the country, said President Rouhani at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran before leaving on his European trip.

He told reporters: “This trip is happening during a very important historic point and post-JCPOA and post-sanctions era and, therefore, it is significantly important”.

Referring to the importance of development of relations with European countries, especially those which had good relations with Iran in the past, he announced that two important documents will be reviewed and agreed upon in this 4-day trip to Italy and France.

He continued: “During this trip, the document of mid- and long-term roadmap of Tehran’s cooperation with Italy and France will be reviewed and agreed upon. Also, there will be agreements regarding institutes which guarantee export insurance”.

On Iran’s readiness to absorb modern technologies, he continued: “Iran has made great progress regarding modern technologies and absorbing these kinds of technologies is of significance for us”.

“Regarding transportation and air fleet modernisation, and also locomotive rails and cars, a lot of documents are ready to be discussed and agreed upon during this trip” added Dr Rouhani.

He continued: “Cooperation in different fields of industry, academia, agriculture, tourism, medical equipment, and environment are amongst other subjects to be discussed in this trip”.

President also said that he is scheduled to meet with the Pope and Vatican officials and have discussions with political and economic bodies.
