President Hassan Rouhani: “Today we are more than ever in need of following Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)”

President Hassan Rouhani in a courtesy meeting with the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on the eve of the auspicious birth anniversaries of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Imam Ja’far Sadeq (SA) (the 6th Imam of Shia) described the Prophet as the icon of morality and purity (decency) and said that Prophet Mohammad has taught world nations the lesson of unity, brotherhood and solidarity.

Asserting “today we feel more than ever to be in need of following the Prophet (PBUH)”, he in the meeting which attended by Iranian high ranking officials, the Muslim scholars, thinkers and political figures attending the 29th International Islamic Unity Conference, the Islamic countries ambassadors in Tehran, as well as different walks of the Iranian nation, said: “Iranian nation won over world powers with unity and guidance and guidelines of its Supreme Leader and still continues the very way”.

Pointing to the two upcoming elections for the 10th Majlis and the 5th Experts Assembly election, Dr. Rouhani called this round of elections as a test for Iran’s greatness and said: “All of us should think of the victory of the Islamic establishment and the nation in the election”.

President Rouhani referred to the epic pro-government rally of Iranians in December 30, 2009 and called the day as day of Iranian nation’s support of the progeny of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), His Households (AS), Islamic Republic Establishment, rule of law, the Guardianship of Jurists (Vilayat-e Faqih) and the now guardian Jurist (the Supreme Leader).

“Iran’s today’s security is established under the Supreme Leader’s programs and good management, so to appreciate the blessing of the leadership, we have to stick to unity among Muslim nations and assist to secure Islamic countries from terrorism and interference of foreign powers in their internal affairs’, he added.

“Enemies today are following the rule of “divide and rule” among Muslim nations”, he said and added: “Had the Islamic big countries gotten together and thought of the main issues of the Islamic world, the regional issues would easily be removed”, President said.

“Unfortunately some Islamic governments nowadays are interacting more with non-Islamic powers, instead of starting a cultural and economic interaction with Islamic nations, while the very Islamic governments even are unhappy with the political victory of an Islamic nation and trade the Islamic political capitals with foreign powers to a mean price” Rouhani reiterated.

“Unfortunately, the country which had ever done its utmost to reduce the oil price over the world, had its budget bill for next financial year with a sharp budget deficit of 100 billion dollars, so we should remind them that “He who blows into fire will have sparkles in his eyes“, he said.
