President in a meeting with Iranians residing in the US:

Iranians’ national integrity the key of success/We were exporting oil, now we are exporting security

President Hassan Rouhani in a meeting with Iranians residing in the US early on Sunday and described national integrity as the key to success especially in the nuclear discussion and said: “Establishing the right to enrichment and lifting of sanctions is a major success for the nation and this success was achieved in the light of national unity”.

Dr Rouhani said: “The era of sanctions has passed and this weapon does not work anymore. To make the best use of the atmosphere created after sanctions, we should plan. Iranians residing abroad should join this atmosphere earlier than others and the government welcomes this presence”.

Reporting on the surveys which show that large majorities of the Iranian people agree with the nuclear deal, Rouhani said: “We have achieved all our principal goals in the negotiations and this is a great honour for the Iranian nation”.

President referred to the negotiating team and Foreign Minister Zarif which was followed by continued applause from the audience, and said: “Today we are in the post-JCPOA era and we all should use this atmosphere to create a better and more prosperous Iran”.

Rouhani also welcomed the participation of the Iranians living abroad in the national projects and said: “We are all Iranians and we love Iran”.

Referring to the presence of several foreign economic and commerce delegations in Iran, President continued: “Major companies are developing their contracts to be signed early”.

He also said that energy projects of $200 billion are ready in the energy sector and $70 billion in petrochemicals. “The water sector, the environment, and transport need to evolve and be invested on” said Rouhani.

Speaking about Iran’s role in establishing peace and security in the region, Dr Rouhani said: “We were exporting oil before, but now we are exporting security”.

He also referred to the Mina incident and Iranian pilgrims being dead in the incident and said: “These bitter incidents show mismanagement and the Saudi government should be legally and politically responsible for such incidents. We will secure the rights of our people and the foreign ministry is also pursuing the issue”.
