Iran keen to developing cooperation with Brunei in all fields

President Hassan Rouhani here on Sunday voiced Iran’s interest in developing ties with Brunei in all possible areas.

President made the remarks while receiving the credentials of the new Brunei Ambassador to Iran.

President Rouhani said there are very good potential to expand and deepen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, which should be properly taken into account in the interests of the two nations.

President said that the current level of cooperation between the two countries due to the numerous and extensive capabilities of the two sides is not acceptable.

President express hope cooperation between the two countries in the new era would expand in the fields of economic, scientific, cultural, tourist and health.

Welcoming the future visit to Tehran of the Brunei Sultan, President Rouhani hoped for further expansion of mutual relations as an outcome of the visit.

The newly-appointed ambassador too stressed that cooperation between the two countries are still not commensurate with good relations and capacities of the two countries, said that we must develop bilateral relations added that in this regard, the Sultan of Brunei is willing to visit Iran to take further examine ways to promote relations.

The new Ambassador of Brunei congratulated Iran’s success in the nuclear talks, said: "The deal is beneficial for the development of bilateral relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and other countries and also establish peace and stability in the region and the world.
