World’s biggest power admits Iran's resistance to pressure, true victory in nuclear talks

The president made the remarks during a ceremony in Tehran on Thursday to mark the 9th National Nuclear Technology Day.
'What was achieved in the nuclear talks is not that a statement was issued,' Dr.Rouhani said, adding that the true achievement of the talks during the past 15 and 16 months is what was mentioned by the US president openly. 'He said,' Dr.Rouhani added, 'We have come to the conclusion that the Iranian nation will never surrender to pressure, sanction and excessive demands.'
The president believed that was 'a great victory for the Iranian people that world's biggest military and economic power admits Iran's resistance to pressure.'
President Rouhani added, 'The US president has announced and admitted that Iran's political system cannot be overthrown and that the nature of Iran's establishment which is a religious democratic system cannot be changed.'
President Rouhani underscored that Tehran will not clinch any nuclear deal with world powers unless the entire economic sanctions imposed on the country are swiftly terminated under a final agreement.
“We will not sign any agreement unless the whole economic sanctions are terminated on the very first day of implementation of the deal,” said Dr.Rouhani.
He also made it clear that nobody can ever restrain Iran from making scientific progress.
“Our nation will keep to the path to scientific development. As mentioned explicitly by our… negotiators in hundreds of meetings, we will not relinquish peaceful nuclear technology,” the president stressed.
Pointing to a nuclear statement issued by Iran and world powers after the latest round of nuclear talks in Switzerland, President Rouhani said the country’s Natanz site will keep enriching uranium, more than 1,000 centrifuge machines will remain at Fordow and a heavy water reactor in Arak will be used to produce medicine.
“We will continue development by relying on the abilities of our… scientists on the basis of our national interests,” he added.
President Rouhani has warned of the adverse consequences of the ongoing military campaign against Yemen, calling on regional countries to stop aggression and establish a ceasefire in the impoverished country.
A great nation such as Yemenis will not surrender because of bombardment. Do not kill innocent children. Let’s all think about the end of war and [the establishment of] a ceasefire,” said Dr.Rouhani.
He urged all regional countries to promote cordial relations, peace and security and help the Yemeni people, adding that the future of Yemen will be determined by its own nation.
He stated that the air campaign in Yemen was a mistake and said, “Let’s establish peace and stability in the region.”
President Rouhani said violence, extremism, killing and terrorism are erroneous approaches in the region and called on the regional states to stop moving in that incorrect path.
The Iranian president noted that people in the region from different religious sects have had peaceful coexistence for centuries.
Addressed regional states, Dr.Rouhani said, “Pursue the path of moderation and constructive interaction. Respect people and be aware that nations’ fate will be determined by nations.”
