Iranian, Azeri presidents stress expansion of relations in all fields

Presidents of Iran and Azerbaijan on Wednesday underlined further expansion of mutual ties.

President Rouhani, referring to his fourth meeting with his Azeri counterpart, said in the previous meetings steps was taken to upgrade Tehran-Baku relations and cooperation and that the two sides are serious in using the two countries' capacities in favor of their nations.
Noting that Iran and Azerbaijan enjoy abundant capacities for expansion of mutual cooperation, President Rouhani said the two sides have ample economic, cultural, and political potentials at bilateral and international levels which should be used.
He hoped that during his stay and meetings with Azeri officials all subjects of mutual interest will be discussed and bilateral relations will further expand.
Aliyev, for his part, said his government favors closer relations with Tehran and between the Iranian and Azeri nations.
