President in a meeting with Norway foreign minister:

Expansion of relations between Iran and Norway is in the interest of the two nations

President Hassan Rouhani stating that expansion of relations between Iran and Norway is in interest of both countries said that today to achieve further progress and development in the world there is no choice but to cooperate and establish constructive relations between the countries.

President Rouhani made the remarks in a meeting with Norway foreign minister Borge Brende here on Sunday.
President pointing to the longstanding ties between Iran and Norway said that due to the conditions of the region and the world today we need to strengthen our bilateral relations as soon as possible.
President said that there is great potential for the expansion of bilateral ties in various fields, especially in economic activities and we should strengthen them.
President said that sanctions against the Iranian nation is unacceptable and wrong and added that sanction is not in benefit of anyone.
He noted that Iran's peaceful nuclear activities are under IAEA supervision and that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not give up its right for peaceful use of nuclear energy.
President said that with a serious political will on both sides of the negotiation, a final win-win agreement is possible to be reached.”
Norway foreign minister Borge Brende, for his part describes Iran as an important regional player to resolve the regional crises and establish peace and security.
