Iran, Russia presidents discuss on Gaza

Presidents of Iran and Russia in a telephone conversation underlined the necessity of stopping military actions in the Gaza Strip.

President Hassan Rouhani and President Vladimir Putin on Friday discussed the issue of armed conflict in the Gaza Strip.
Presidents of Iran and Russia also discussed Iran’s nuclear negotiations as well as the situation in Iraq.
Referring to current developments in Iraq and Syria, he said that terrorism is a major problem for the region and emphasizing the unity of Iraqis; Dr. Rouhani called for regional cooperation in the fight against terrorism, violence and extremism in Iraq and establish stability for establishing legal organizations after the last election.
Putin and Dr.Rouhani also talked about mutual cooperation in the fields of joint plans in oil, gas and peaceful nuclear energy.
Describing the very disturbing and unacceptable situation in Gaza , the Russian president, for his part, reiterated that countries should combine their efforts to obtain, immediately lifting the embargo on Gaza and help the oppressed people of Palestine.
Putin said that developments in relations between Iran and Russia are positive and also highlighted the good negotiation process noting the efforts of Russia in the success of these negotiations.
