Addressing the ceremony, held at Tehranˈs Azadi Stadium, president Rouhani congratulated all workers in the country on this occasion.
He thanked all workers who contributed to the development process of the country in different fields.
ˈWe are proud of achievements of the Iranian labor force in different development sectors, ˈ he said.
President underlined that the anti-Iran sanctions are unfounded and have nothing to do with the country’s peaceful nuclear program.
The Islamic Republic has, in numerous occasions, stated that it does not seek to develop nuclear weapons, while it is using nuclear energy for medical researches instead.
Despite the rules enshrined in the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) entitling every member state, including Iran, to the right of uranium enrichment, Tehran is under numerous sanctions for turning down West’s calls to give up its right of uranium enrichment.
Meanwhile, the President noted that the government is determined to increase exports of Iranian products based on constructive interaction with the world.
