President calls on Nicaraguan officials to pave the way for presence of Iran’s private sector and investors

President Hassan Rouhani on Monday urged expansion of relations between Iran and Nicaragua.

In a meeting in Tehran with Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Samuel Santos Lopez, President Rouhani said Iran and Nicaragua enjoy abundant common cultural grounds.
Foreign policies of Iran and Nicaragua are based on independence and resistance against intervention of foreign powers, Dr.Rouhani said, adding, the two countries situated in two most sensitive regions of the world have always stood by each other within international bodies.
President noted that cultural commonalities between Iran and Nicaragua can be used as a base for expansion of bilateral relations in different areas.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Dr.Rouhani praised efforts made by the Nicaraguan government to establish security and stability in the country.
He called on Nicaraguan officials to pave the way for presence of Iran’s private sector and investors in the Central American country.
The Nicaraguan foreign minister, for his part, called for promotion of all-out ties between the two countries.
Lopez referred to the suitable ground for activity of foreign investors inNicaragua and voiced Managuaˈs willingness for presence of Iranian companies and investors in the country.
