President in a meeting with Tajik Foreign Minister:

Iran attaches great importance to progress of Persian-speaking countries

President Hassan Rouhani in a meeting with visiting Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov here on Monday called for expansion of all-out ties with this Central Asian country.

President Rouhani underlined that Iran attaches great importance to progress of Persian-speaking countries.
He added that the two countries enjoy great potentials for political, economic and cultural cooperation.
Aslov, for his part, conveyed warm greetings of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to President Rouhani and extended his formal invitation to his Iranian counterpart to visit Tajikistan.
The Tajik diplomat also described the current level of mutual cooperation as insufficient, calling for implementation of joint projects and expansion of all-out relations with Iran.
