The Qatari emir made the remark in a meeting with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who is in Doha to attend PGCC summit.



At the meeting, held after PGCC summit, the Qatari emir thanked the Iranian president for his participation in the summit and described his speech as very valuable and quite transparent. He dded that PGCC would seriously study Ahmadinejad's proposals.



Certain big powers are against restoration of stability to the Persian Gulf region, he said, adding that the Persian Gulf littoral states should get united and make concrete decisions to meet the interests of their nations.



"Iran's nuclear dossier should be resolved between the country and IAEA and the western countries should not interfere in the case," said the Qatari emir.



President Ahmadinejad, for his part, said there is no limitation on expansion of ties between Iran and other Persian Gulf littoral states, adding that countries in the Persian Gulf region could rely on their own capabilities and attain success and development without reliance on foreign countries.



Pointing to Iran's significant development and progress in scientific, technological and industrial sectors, Ahmadinejad said the country would spare no efforts to transfer its experiences and achievements in various fields to other countries in the Persian Gulf region.



Persian Gulf littoral states should take advantage of their capabilities and facilities to help deepen ties among themselves, he pointed out.



Referring to brotherly ties between Iran and Qatar, he said such ties could be regarded as an exemplary model for other countries in the region to upgrade the level of their ties and cooperation.



President Ahmadinejad also extended an official invitation to the Qatari emir to pay an official visit to Tehran which was welcomed by him.



President Ahmadinejad arrived in Doha, Qatar, on Monday upon the Qatari emir's official invitation to attend the PGCC Summit.



The Iranian president is accompanied by his senior advisor, Mojtaba Samareh-Hashemi, and Deputy Foreign Minister for Mideast and Africa, Mohammad-Reza Baqeri.



This is the first time that the PGCC states have invited an Iranian president to their summit as a guest.



Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman are the PGCC members.
