President stresses full preparedness of armed forces

President Hassan Rouhani has lauded the Islamic Republic’s enormous deterrence power, stressing that such power stops enemies from engaging in adventurism against Iran.

Speaking in a meeting with commanders and officials of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy on Thursday, President Rouhani pointed to the need for preparedness of the Armed Forces to carry out their duties, and said, “The first outcome of these preparedness should be deterrence against the enemy and it should be in a way as to enable them to find out about our military and defense capabilities.”
President underlined the full preparedness of the Iranian Armed Forces to confront any possible attacks by the enemies.
“The military prowess and high deterrence power of our Armed Forces do not allow the enemy to even think of attacking Iran,” said President Rouhani.
President added that conducting various military maneuvers will not only help Iranian military forces to remain well-prepared, but also showcases their capabilities against enemies.
He also lauded the efforts made by the Iranian Navy and the IRGC to secure the nearly 2,000 kilometers of maritime borders in the south of the country.
President Rouhani further stated that enjoying full intelligence command over the area of operations is a first step toward securing Iranian borders.
Durign the meeting, IRGC Navy Commander Ali Fadavi submitted a report about the achievements, capabilities, performance and missions of his force to President Rouhani and also a report about the 8th naval drills of the Great Prophet Mohammad to him.
