President visiting Hormozgan Province

President Hassan Rouhani left Tehran for Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan province, in his second Provincial tour.

President arrived in Bandar Abbas, capital city of the southern province of Hormuzgan, on a three-day visit on Tuesday.
A number of his cabinet members and officials are accompanying the President in his provincial tour.
President Rouhani is scheduled to meet elites, intellectuals and Sunni and Shiite ulemas and take part in a steel symposium.
Upon his arrival in this Persian Gulf province, while talking to reporters, president hailed the resistance of the people of Hormozgan against the colonialist powers.
Referring to the significance of the province for the country as one of the most important strategic points and said it is a gateway for Iran to the free and international waters.
He said the government’s provincial tours provide an opportunity for officials to become familiar with the demands and situation of people in different parts of the country, enabling them to make more precise and acute planning.
President Rouhani made the remarks while addressing a large crowd at Takhti Stadium in Bandar Abbas that all Iranians should prepare themselves for major developments in economic, cultural and foreign policy fields.
Presidnet underlined the need for lifting the unjust sanctions imposed by oppressors and meddling powers on the country’s economy.
Referring to implementation of the “Economy of Resistance” in the country which was ordered by the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, President Rouhani said his “government is fully prepared to materialize policies of the Resistance Economy.”
According to the Resistance Economy policies, our economy will be based on science and technology which would facilitate exports of domestic goods and products made in oil, petrochemical and refining and industrial sectors.
President Rouhani said the Resistance Economy should eradicate unemployment.
“Iranians and brave people of Hormozgan should know that our nuclear rights are secured and Iranian negotiators will not draw one step back of preserving rights including our nuclear right,” President Rouhani said.
He added: “We want to regain our absolute rights to free trade and exports, which have been deprived of by some powers.”
President Rouhani also held that the last nuclear negotiations between Iran and Powers were to solve the Iran’s nuclear issue and the last steps towards a comprehensive deal were taken with the negotiators good offices.
President Rouhani visited Iranˈs most advanced steel factory in southern port city of Bandar Abbas as part of his tour of Hormuzgan province.
President Rouhani is scheduled to address a gathering of experts involved in steel industry and navigation today.
The president will also meet with a number of Shia and Sunni Ulema and scholars from Hormuzgan province in the same day.
