President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Doha, Qatar, Monday to attend the Summit of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC).

President Ahmadinejad is to take part in the PGCC summit to kick off in Doha on Monday at the invitation of Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani.
The Iranian president was welcomed at Doha airport by the Qatari Emir.
During the welcoming ceremony, the national anthems of the two countries were played and the two leaders reviewed the guard of honor.
The Iranian president is accompanied by his senior advisor, Mojtaba Samareh-Hashemi, and Deputy Foreign Minister for Mideast and Africa, Mohammad-Reza Baqeri.
This is the first time that the PGCC states have invited Iranian president to their summit as a guest.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman are members of the PGCC.
